Extend IT Automation...
During most company startups the software used to automate business functions is often created from tools that the company principals feel most comfortable using - for example Excel spreadsheets. As additional business process functionality is needed to support company growth, it is grafted onto the original tools, becoming a patchwork of inadequately linked and automated pieces.
In the course of company growth, these tools and processes are inherited by newly hired staff that are given basic training in how to use them, and usually are able to make them do the intended function. However, the tools become static and do not grow with the company’s expanding automation needs, often causing process bottlenecks or inefficient use of valuable staff’s time.
ITB will identify these areas, audit them and propose better solutions and will implement the solution or aid the client in implementing them.
Data Management and Consolidation...
Symptoms of the need for improvement in data management can exhibit themselves in many forms from overall decrease in application performance to a need for complex manual efforts to prepare data for exploitation by a company’s applications and personnel.
Examples might be an application whose performance and response time is degrading, or does not otherwise meet the current requirements for the business function to be executed in a timely or reliable manner. This is often caused by the underlying database being improperly designed to manage and retrieve the data or when the design is not suitable for handling the growing amount of data.
Another example might be where data is stored multiple disparate sources requiring a heavy overhead to collate data for use.
ITB will analyze corporate data repositories and their uses and propose changes that should be made to improve efficiency.
